The Legend of Human-Hollow Read Along
- Narrator: Hello. It's an honor to come over for me to read you this story of the Legend of Human-Hollow. It was first told by a story of the Headless Horseman. But this isn't like any old story, no. This is a special story with Riley and his friends. If you want this read to you, you could read along with me in your book. You'll know it's time to turn the page when you hear this sound.
- (Magical Tune)
- Narrator: Let's begin now.
- Narrator: One day, Amanda was getting ready for the school play. It was the play of Human-Hollow. Amanda was wearing a dress that looked like Cinderella, and Parafly-Lum was playing the part of a mushroom.
- Ricky: Oh, my! No wonder she's the star of the school play.
- (Magical Tune)
- Narrator: As Riley and his friends were getting ready, Stan and his bandits were preparing a special package machine for Riley and his friends. They were building a machine that will take them to Sydney.
- Stan: Think of it, guys. Mayor order people. That feisty frontier people packaged and delivered to the city of Sydney from Australia. To the doorsteps of silly bandits from coast to coast.
- Narrator: Later at school, Amanda got ready for her song, until Stan and Joanna heard her sing. She had the most beautiful voice.
- Stan: Good heavens. Isn't that lovely? Lovely enough to fill an auditorium.
- Narrator: Stan got an idea that would be rid of Riley and his friends forever.
- (Magical Tune)
- Narrator: Suddenly, when Parafly-Lum and Amanda were walking home, Joanna dropped by.
- Joanna: Hello, my pretty. I'm going to make you a star.
- Amanda: A star?
- Narrator: Amanda was delighted, but not until Zander stopped by and told her about the Legend of Human-Hollow. He then sent Amanda and Parafly-Lum home.
- Zander: Now, you two go to Riley's house, while I go to the Ghostly Forest for those last two tree props.
- Narrator: This gave Joanna a plan for her and Stan to scare Zander.
- (Magical Tune)
- Narrator: Meanwhile, Zander was finding a bigger prop for the play, until he was ambushed by a ghost. So scared was he that he flew away! But not only did he fly, he got caught in a bony trap. Stan and Joanna were the ghosts, and boy, did they succeed!
- Stan: At tomorrow night, following my show, thanks to my trap here, the Glades of Dreams will be the human-less capital the world.
- Narrator: Then they left. Back at the school, Riley and his friends were disappointed that the school play had been cancelled. They decided to find Zander in the Ghostly Forest.
- (Magical Tune)
- Narrator: Amanda was walking home sadly until Stan and Joanna dropped by.
- Joanna: Without the school play, you're free to do our show this evening. Right? And just to show what good sports we are, I'm going to give all the proceeds back to this school. Deal?
- Amanda: Well, okay.
- Narrator: But Stan and Joanna had a trick up their sleeve. Meanwhile in the Ghostly Forest, Riley and his friends were still looking for Zander. Toby and Denko went off in the forest on their own.
- Denko: You don't think the forest hurt us, do you?
- Toby: I think the whole town hurt us.
- Narrator: Toby and Denko walked off to find Zander in the forest, but when they went, they got lost.
- (Magical Tune)
- Narrator: Toby and Denko looked all over. Denko smelled Zander's feathers, and that's when it hit them. Zander was trapped in a bony trap by Stan and his bandits.
- Zander: Stan and his bandits are planning to box your friends in the Glades of Dreams tonight.
- Narrator: They ran back to Riley and his friends to warn him about their plan. Back at Riley's house, Stan was busy preparing their ingenious plan.
- Stan: Once the little delicacies are boxed, as they drop under this converting belt, whence they are hoisted onto that weighting freight train, which in exactly one hour and 12 minutes--
- Juan: --we'll chug out of the Glades of Dreams, delivering those stupid human pests to hungry monsters in Sydney, Australia. Right, Stan?
- Stan: Indeed.
- Narrator: But Riley had a better plan.
- Riley: That's what you think, Stan.
- (Magical Tune)
- Narrator: Riley sent Picy to do her act by telling the bandits about the ghost she saw.
- Picy: Floating sheets, eerie eyes, hollow terrible ghostly voice!
- Narrator: This made Nigel scared, but Stan angry.
- Stan: Come along, we have a show to put on.
- Narrator: And put on a show he did. He had a big announcement to all the dinosaurs, including Ricky.
- Stan: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Yes, I'd like to invite you all to a special party after the performance in honor of our own: Amanda. At the train depot. Good. And now, without further ado, the lovely voice of the Glades of Dreams, Amanda.
- Narrator: Amanda went on to be a singing star. As soon as she started singing, Stan and his gang walked outside.
- (Magical Tune)
- Narrator: That dark night, Nigel was still scared about the ghosts Picy told them about.
- Nigel: Oh, I hope I don't run into those ghosts. Oh, I just don't wanna see him.
- Narrator: But then, a strange moaning sound was heard. Stan finally knew exactly what it was.
- Stan: Ghosts!
- Narrator: Frightened, Stan and his bandits fled from the concert, and trapped in their own machine. It was Riley and his friends! They had made Blicy and his friends scare Stan's gang. Back at the school, Amanda had finished her song, and Zander told them the show must go on.
- (Magical Tune)
- Narrator: Zander told the audience it was time to finish The Legend of Human-Hollow. When the play was over, Riley thanked Amanda for a wonderful performance. Ricky bowed.
- Ricky: And, Riley, I assure you, someday, you'll have a much bigger role. Right, Zander?
- Zander: I think I can play a much bigger role than you realize, Riley.
- Narrator: But to me, there already was a bigger role for Riley. He was the lead of his friends.
- (The End)
